Sewing 101: Pumpkin Decoration

Learn how to create a delightful pumpkin decoration! This beginner-friendly sewing class is perfect for anyone wanting to improve their sewing skills while making a festive decoration. Participants will learn basic quilting techniques, fabric preparation, safe sewing practices, and assembly methods while completing one pumpkin decoration to take home. Each location will have a maximum of 12 seats available. Required supplies listed below. Ages: 16 years and up

    Students Need to Bring

    • Sewing machine in good working condition
    • Power cord and foot pedal
    • Fabric scissors
    • Pins or sewing clips
    • Seam ripper
    • Neutral thread

    Materials Provided

    • Fall-themed cotton or linen fabric
    • Polyester fiberfill stuffing
    • Upholstery or embroidery thread
    • Pumpkin stem (real, wooden, or faux)
    • Needle
    • Decorative ribbon, raffia, twine, or leaves
    • Pattern and printed instructions

    A minimum of ten (10) students must register for the class in order for the class to be offered. If the class does not make the minimum, you will be notified and a refund will be issued.
